Lil Nog “My brother is more experienced and has better hands”
After a first-round knockout over Luiz Cane on his debut at Ultimate Fighting Championship, Antonio Rogerio “Minotouro” was forced to take some time off to heal up from a foot injury. The light heavyweight contender would face Brandon Vera but decided to fully recover before getting into the next shot that is expected to take place in later March or April.
.
While his future is undecided, Minotouro plans to join his heavyweight brother Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira in San Diego for his upcoming battle versus Cain Velasquez. According to Minotouro, Big Nog is already in shape and has been training wrestling with Marco Munoz team and Allan Goes, who is in charge for grappling workouts.
.
“Rodrigo is very focused and his conditioning is very good, explosing and strong. He has gone on diet and made the same weight for the fight against Randy Couture (105Kg) and is moving much better” said the twin brother. “He”s more experienced and tougher, and if they go to Boxing, this is going to be Rodrigo’s fight. I think Cain will try to put him down because Rodrigo has better hands” predicted Rogerio who is back to the training camp.
.
The UFC 110 debuts in Australia on Feb 21th, at Acer Arena, in Sidney. Besides the heavyweight main event among Nogueira and Velasquez, the event will be co-headlined by a middleweight contend between Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva and Michael “The Count” Bisping. Stay tuned for more UFC news.
